Venture is a new business magazine that has recently hit the shelves in Jordan; with its well structured sections and competent staff, we predict that it is going to be one of the first choices of a good read for any businessman in Jordan.

In their June issue and specifically in their "Success" section; Venture interviewed the co-founders of Jeeran and featured our online community as a young success story in the new millennium.

Under the title "Jeeran.com sets its sites on the future", Mr. Jibril Hambel presented Jeeran briefly to the readers of the young magazine. We are very happy and thrilled to have been chosen to be featured in one of the magazine's early issues and this urges us to highlight the whole article and shed light on some of the facts that were mentioned in it.

One thing got our attention though; it is that there has been a sort of misunderstanding regarding some of the historical and current facts about Jeeran and we would like to correct them in our official blog here.

One of the quotes in the article goes like this: "We aim to become regional, not only a local presence". To clarify what was meant by this sentence; we have to define the presence by virtual and physical. Virtually; we have been regional since day one and our member base extends to cover the whole Arab world and stretches beyond it to reach major countries in the whole world. Physically; we are currently operating from Amman and one of our plans is to create physical representation in major cities of the Arab world and that is what was meant by the quote mentioned above.

Another fact needs to be highlighted and that is the size of our database that is continuously growing. In the article; it is mentioned that we are approaching the 600,000 members while the fact is that we have already exceeded the 650,000 members. It is understandable that between the present and the time the interview was conducted, considerable increase in the member base has been registered.

It is also worth mentioning that Jeeran has already released the first fully Arabized Blogging service in the region and this is not a part of our future plans as the article stated; we are already the largest Arab Bloggers' Community with more than 21,300 blogs from the whole region and increasing by the minute.
